Five for Fall

FiveForFall (1 of 9)Fall is here for good, with its beautiful colors, leaves turning colors trees, smell of pumpkin, nutmeg and apples. Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love colder weather, wearing cozy sweaters and boots and snuggling at home with a cup of warm apple cider. I also love deeper makeup shades that appear in autumn makeup collections.

In today’s post I am bringing you my five favorite beauty fall products, encouraging you to share yours with me as well.

FiveForFall (6 of 9)Favorite Eyehsadow

This pick was the hardest for me because there are so many eyeshadows that I love using for fall- from rich golds, to burnt oranges and deep chocolate browns. My favorite one though comes from Inglot, a shade number 452. It’s a deep burgundy brownish-red shade with a pearl finish. It’s similar to Mac Cosmetics’ cult favorite shade in Cranberry. The quality of the eyeshadow is great, it applies really smoothly and lasts on me all day used with an eyeshadow primer. I love combining it with gold shades.

FiveForFall (2 of 9)Favorite Blush

In fall I still use a lot of pink blushes but I usually lay off my coral ones replacing them with deeper tones. My top pick comes from Mac Cosmetics and it’s a powder blush in Small Vanity. It’s a dusty mauve-rose color with a hint of redness. In the pan the blush appears a bit shimmery but it doesn’t contain any glitter and on the skin it provides a subtle sheen. It can also be easily built up if you are a fan of more defined look.

FiveForFall (4 of 9)Favorite Lipstick

Fall lipsticks are something I am absolutely obsessed with. I love deeper wine, plum and berry lipstick shades that always look elegant even with a simple eye look. My favorite one is again from Mac Cosmetics and it’s a lipstick from their LE Divine Night collection that launched last year. It’s a shade called Private Party which is described as a “dirty plum mauve”. It has a satin finish so it’s very creamy and  it applies very smoothly, providing an excellent coverage without emphasizing any dryness of the lips.

FiveForFall (3 of 9)Favorite Nail Polish

Being a nail polish junkie this wasn’t an easy choice for me either. However, after much consideration I decided to go with a Zoya nail polish in Pepper. I think it’s best described as a brick red shade with a cream finish. Depending on the light, it might look a bit brown. I think it perfectly embodies my favorite fall shade and it looks very elegant on the nails. Like with all Zoya nail polishes, this shade applies beautifully, providing full opaqueness with two coats.

FiveForFall (5 of 9)Favorite Body Product

Unlike all the other products mentioned in this post, my pick for this category is a fairly new purchase for me but it was love at first use. It’s a 3-in-1 smoothie from Ulta in Pumpkin Latte. It can be used as a shower gel, shampoo or a bubble bath. To be honest, I am a little skeptical about using it as a shampoo but I absolutely adore it as a shower gel. I love the smell of everything pumpkin and that’s probably the main reason why I love this product so much. It’s not too strong but you can definitely smell the pumpkin and all the spices and it does smell so good that I almost want to eat it. The smoothie foams well, leaving my skin very smooth and the scent lingers on my skin for a few hours after use. The bottle is pretty big as it contains 16 oz of product so it will definitely last me all season. The smoothie can be complimented with other two products from the same line, a scrub and a body butter. It retails for $12 but I actually bought it during a B1G1 sale so I also got the scrub for free, which makes it a great deal.

That’s actually a body wash, not a lotion. And thank you, those little pumpkins just called for being included in this post! 🙂

Hey Agata, this is fall in a post! Hmm lemme see…

Favorite eyeshadow: I’ll have to go with LM Khaki Caviar Stick. I love khaki and it’s the best season to wear it!

Favorite blush: Tom Ford Ravish. I don’t love Tom Ford EVERYTHING, but that blush is love!

Favorite lipstick: I’ll have to go with Givenchy Pourpre Inoui. Berry is my recent obsession, and Le Rouge has an impressive formula!

Favorite Nail polish: Absolutely way too many to actually pick! I like metallic shades for autumn, very often something darker as well. I’ll have to say aengland Beauty Never Fails, Givenchy Bronze Precieux, and I also recently laid my hands on some RBL beauties including Not Your Baby and Scrangie 2.0.

Favorite body product: L’Occitane almond shower oil! I don’t like foody scents year round, but this is great for autumn!

Sunny, lovely picks! I remember you writing about that Givenchy lipstick and it’s definitely a stunner! And I love the idea of metallic nails for fall! My next manicure has to be something metallic now 🙂

Welcome to my blog Jenn and thanks for stopping by. Inglot products are awesome. What other shades did you pick up? And have you tried any other Inglot products?
