Happy Halloween!

Halloween Nails (1 of 4)

I love Halloween for so  many reasons. I love fall season, I love carving pumpkins, I love looking at houses decorated with spooky ghosts, skeletons, black cats and Jack-o-lanterns.

This year I didn’t go to any Halloween parties so I didn’t have to come up with a costume idea but I decided to decorate my nails with some Halloween art. I painted some of my nails with orange Zoya Pixi Dust shade in Beatrix and I decorated the rest with Halloween themed nail stickers from Sinful Colors with a spider web design. Although the stickers are really pretty and I love little sparkly gems, they were a little hard to apply evenly to my nails (at least compared to Sally Hansen nail stickers that I tried a few times in the past). But overall, I really like my design.

Do you like Halloween? Have you been to any Halloween parties this year? If so, what costume did you wear? Are you wearing any Halloween themed manicure or makeup this year?

Hope you have a fun and safe Halloween and a spooktacular weekend!

Happy Halloween, too, Agata! Creative! I love the sparkly cobweb idea! Well, I’ve never been to a Halloween party (party means food, booze, loud music lol) but last week I went to Halloween Comic Fest where my toddler dressed up as an angel. Heehee.

Thanks Laarni. I like Halloween parties but the last one I went to was 2 years ago. I always forget you have a child, you look so young!!!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Thanks Linda! I don’t have a particular talent for nail art (or any art) either but these nail stickers make everything so much easier!

Hi Kishia! How have you been?? So a little note about candy corn- I tried it for the first time a few days ago and I like it. I wouldn’t eat a ton of it at once but it’s tasty. My husband has been telling me for years that it’s gross lol

      Any Halloween plans?

  2. Laarni says:

Haha. Maybe because I rarely talk about my little one on my blog. I don’t even share pics of her! I just don’t like one day she will be like, “Mommy, why are my baby photos are scattered all over the Internet? LOL

No Halloween plans but basketball season has begun & I’m a b-ball fanatic! Watched 1.5 games last night. Let the madness begin!!! Will prolly pick up a nail polish today from Sephora. I’m in a neutral kinda mood so maybe a taupe grey or a slate grey with plum undertones. Fall is upon us & I’m here for it 🙂

    • Agata Piestrak says:

I’m not a basketball fan but I’m glad you are so passionate about it!

You should try Sephora Formula X nail polishes if you haven’t yet. They are brilliant. And grey with plum undertones sounds beautiful. I think I will stop at Ulta today- I need a soft brown eyeliner and I have my 20% off coupon that’s good on all brands. Can’t pass that up!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Thanks Melissa! It didn’t really feel like Halloween though. The weather was nasty, cold and raining so we didn’t have any trick or treaters. Now I am left with a huge bowl of candy..*danger alert*!

Great Halloween manicure, Agata! I actually didn’t do anything this year (not that I normally do though. It’s so much work haha), but the parents and the kids in the neighborhood did have a little party downstairs. The cats weren’t too amused :p

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Hi Sunny. Do kids go trick or treating in Belgium. When I lived in Poland it totally wasn’t a thing and Halloween in general was just starting to become popular.

No trick or treaters here, either! :\ Boooo for TONS of leftover candy, lol. I helped my mom move on Halloween so there was no dressing up this year. As soon as I got home, I made a steaming mug of cocoa and started watching scary movies. It was really relaxing and got me in the Halloween spirit just in the nick of time! 🙂

    • Agata Piestrak says:

I’m glad you had a relaxing night! I have a ton of candy too. I will have to send it with my husband to his work or I will eat it all 🙂

LOVE these sparkly Orange accents : )

I’m wearing sugar skull and skulls nails right now – black with silver images : )) I like Halloween nail art, despite never actually celebrating Haloween. : )

        • Agata Piestrak says:

Awesome. I have tried stamping a few times but it’s just not working for me. I can’t get the pattern to stamp on my nails. Any tips for a newbie?

          • Catherine Dream says:

It really depends A LOT on the plates you have – I’ve bought a few from ebay that wouldn’t work for anything, even though I’m experienced with stamping. Also, the polish is important, although dont let companies tell you you need a ‘special stamping polish’ – you don’t. It just needs to be moderately thick and opaque in one coat. : )
If you want to try again and have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to write : )

Aww, I think the Halloween nail art is adorable! I meant to do something Halloween-ish with my nails but never found the time… Hmmmm, maybe something Thanksgiving-ish?
