Ulta Beauty Sightings

Last weekend I stopped at Ulta just to buy a bottle of a conditioner because they had the giant 1 liter sizes of Redken products for only $15.99. I am trying to be better about my makeup purchases this year and follow into footsteps of Divya from The Conscience Fund and try to use more products that I already have instead of buying every new thing that comes out.

Having said that, of course, I couldn’t help myself and I browsed the Ulta aisles a little bit to see what’s new and today I am going to share with you a few things that caught my attention.

wpid-imag3554.jpgFirst, the new Bold Metal Collection Real Technique brushes. They look really nice and professional and you know how much I love my RT brushes! The silver brushes are eye brushes and the gold ones are for the face. The eye brushes looked a little big to me and I am not sure if I would use them properly but the face ones look really interesting and I am sure that at some point I will try them. They are significantly more expensive than regular RT brushes though as they range from $15.99-$25.99.

wpid-imag3560.jpgNext up, a product that I saw in Ulta ad that’s sent by mail and I was intrigued from the moment I saw it. It’s a light therapy treatment mask that comes in a form of glasses that you are supposed to wear for 15 minutes a day. illuMask comes in two forms- anti-aging and anti-acne and the brand claims that it delivers clinically proven results of clearer, brighter skin. The masks retail for $29.99 and after reading some really good reviews, I am really tempted to try one for myself. Has anyone heard or used these before?

wpid-imag3555.jpgI also spotted the new NYX Contour Palettes that come in 3 different shades. I was ready to actually buy one but the lightest one that would suit me the best was, as you can see, completely sold out! Maybe next time I will have more luck.

wpid-imag3557.jpgwpid-imag3558.jpgwpid-imag3559.jpgLast but not least, three absolutely gorgeous palettes from Bare Minerals that are all part of the Ready Eyshadow 8.0 collection and come in three different combinations- The Sexy Neutrals, The Power Neutrals and The Posh Neutrals. I swatched some of the shades and I am in love. The Posh palette appeals to me the most, the shades are really buttery and beautifully pigmented and they would be perfect for creating girly, soft spring looks.

Is there anything that caught your attention and you’d like to buy? Or have you already tried any of these products? What’s on your beauty wishlist at the moment? Do you like shopping at Ulta? Let’s talk!

Hi Agata! I saw the fancy face thingy in an Ulta ad that I received by email also & was curious about it. Since its received great reviews, I’m tempted to read the reviews to see what all the fuss is about. I did pick up the NYX brow gel during my last Ulta visit about two weeks ago & it blows my mind. It takes practice to get used to using it but some say it’s a dupe for the MUFE Aqua brow. I haven’t used the one from MUFE but I can tell you that the one from NYX. Doesn’t. Move. #winning

  2. Agata Piestrak says:

Hi! Is the NYX brow gel the one that comes in a tube? If so I will have to try it. I love your affordable recommendations! I have been using a powder to fill in my brows but they are a little unruly recently and I do need something to keep them in place!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Zgadzam sie, chociaz w ktoryms momencie na pewno na te pedzle sie skusze, najpierw chce poczytac wiecej recenzji na ich temat.

    • Agata Piestrak says:

All three of them are so pretty and they swatch so beautifully. Have you ever tried any Bare Minerals Ready eyeshadows?

  3. Sunny says:

Hey Agata, that’s always the problem isn’t it? Going into the store for one thing, coming out with 5 either in the actual bag or on the wish list! That mask sounds interesting. If you do try it, I’d like to know how well it works! I’ve really only heard of light therapy for winter blues, not for clearer skin!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

I can use this mask both for winter blues and better skin. It sounds gimmicky but the reviews are read say the mask really works! And yes, going shopping is dangerous! 🙂

Oehh, such pretty things Agata. I really want to get my hands on some Real Technique brushes for the eyes.. I could use good blending brushes etc.. but I should really start looking into where I can get them.. 🙂 but perhaps not, I’m on a budget 😛 haha this is why i avoid stores 😛

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Hi Natsja, yes going to the stores is bad because then I end up with a mile long list of all the things I want. Those new Bold Metal eye brushes look really big. Maybe you should try some eye brushes from their regular line? They work great too and they are much more affordable.

  5. Jaa says:

I’m waiting patiently for the new RT brushes to be on BOGO! Hehe I want to grab a few but not at full price! ;D My latest lust is the new Benefit Puff Off! 🙂

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Yes, I agree. At the full price they are way too expensive but I really want to try them. Did you read Jenny’s review of the Benefit Puff Off on MishMoshMakeup?
