Easter Ready Speckled Manicure

Easter Nails (1 of 10)Hi everyone,

With Easter two days away I wanted to get my nails ready for the Holiday. Last year I went with pastel nails (you can check them out here). This year my inspiration came from…Pintrest and candy! Speckled colorful eggs filled with delicious melty chocolate..Yum! Easter Nails (4 of 10)

I am going to show you a step-by-step picture tutorial on how to create this manicure. You will need five different nail polish shades, a black nail polish, a paper plate or a piece of foil and an old toothbrush! Easter Nails (2 of 10)

Step 1: Start by applying a layer of your favorite base coat. Easter Nails (3 of 10)

Step 2: Paint your nails with two coats of the nail polishes you picked. With my color selection I wanted to stay as true to the colors of the eggs as possible. You can, of course, pick any shades you like or even paint all your nails the same color. Easter Nails (5 of 10)

Step 3: Pour a few drops of the black nail polish onto a paper plate. Easter Nails (6 of 10)

Step 4: Dab an old tootbrush into the black polish and stamp the plate to get rid of excess product. Easter Nails (7 of 10)

Step 5: Spackle your nails by gently pressing the head of the toothbrush all over your nail. Don’t worry if your skin gets a little dirty, you can easily remove the nail polish later. Easter Nails (8 of 10)

Step 6: Clean the surface around your nails using a Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover.

Step 7: Seal the manicure with a top coat of your choice.

And voila! Your nails are now pretty and ready for Easter! Easter Nails (10 of 10)

Gah! Could this mani be cuter? Me thinks not! I’m getting a mani today as well, though I doubt it’ll be as cute as yours. I like gel manis because they last longer but they do lack some of the creativity that comes with traditional manis.

So happy that it’s FINALLY spring. Don’t know what color I’m going with but it’s gonna be something colorful and spring-y. 🙂 On another note, spring time also brings out allergy woes for me. Finally went to the dr yesterday to get meds. Actually slept well last night & my symptoms are improving.

Hi Kishia, I missed you girl! I am glad you like it! I like how long gel manis last too. I even have a gel kit at home but I stopped using it because removing the nail polish is too much hassle. I think you should go with mint green or lilac- they are perfect for spring and would look great against your skin!

I am so sorry about the allergies but I hope the meds help!!! Mine usually don’t kick in till early summer. Feel better!

Any plans for Easter? Are you going out of town?

      • Kishia says:

Missed you too, dude. Finally feeling like myself today. I have an at-home gel system, too. But it is s pain to get off. My niece & nephew are coming this weekend. Our plans are to take them to visit the grandparents & enjoy brunch with them.
I’m also cooking a big Easter meal for later on that night. Going to church, too, so it will be a busy day. I decided to get a really bright teal/blue-ish/green-ish color. And maybe something lavender-like on my toes. It’s so much easier when the nail tech removed the polish for me. Any plans for you this weekend?

        • Agata Piestrak says:

I love holidays and spending time with my family, always a good time! I am sure you will have fun with your nieces and nephews! I miss my two little nieces in Poland so much!

I have to work Saturday and Sunday and Sunday afternoon I am going over my in-laws for a family dinner.

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Thank you Jenny! I really liked that idea and it is easy enough that anyone can do it!

Are you doing any special nail design for Easter?

    • Agata Piestrak says:

You should try it, if you still have time! Staying in the nail polish theme, I am just coming back from my family annual egg decorating contest. I did mine with nail polish and I think it turned out pretty good!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Hi Alice and thanks for stopping by!

The manicure is really easy to do. Do you think you will try it? Do you like doing nail art?

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Hi Fiora and thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you back.

I am definitely going to check your blog.

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Thanks Danielle. I take it your not very good with nail designs? This one is actually really easy and there is not much to mess up, since the speckles don’t have to be perfect!

  2. Sunny says:

Hey Agata, happy Easter! This manicure is so dang cute! I didn’t know it’s not so difficult to create, either 🙂 Now if only I could dig out some Easter-appropriate shades!

    • Agata Piestrak says:

Hi Sunny, it is really easy and I think anyone can do it!

Hope you had nice Easter. Is Monday a holiday in Belgium too? Today everyone is back to work here!
