What’s your current morning and evening skincare routine?

I try to keep my skincare routine as simple (and affordable) as possible, so it stays mostly the same. In the mornings, I rinse my face and apply a little German Nivea with the Odacité Camelina Chamomile serum/oil, or something with SPF if I’m leaving the house. In the evenings, I remove my eye makeup with Marcelle 3 in 1 Micellar Solution, wash my face with Marcelle Essentials Cleansing Milk, and moisturize with German Nivea blended with Odacité Pomegranate Rose Geranium (review), which I LOVE for dry skin. I don’t use a lot of masks or scrubs, but if I’m breaking out, I’ll also spot treat with Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion — that stuff is magic!!

My morning routine is pretty simple. I just wash my face and apply a moisturizer with an SPF. The evening routine is where it gets more complicated :-) First, I remove my makeup with Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towlettes. Next, I use Garnier Cleansing Oil to remove the rest of makeup and my waterproof mascara. Then I cleanse my face using my Clarisonic Mia 2 brush with Nude Skincare Omega Cleansing Jelly or Vichy Normaderm Gel Cleanser. Next, I apply a toner- either Pixi Glow Tonic or Murad Hydrating Toner. Lastly, I apply a moisturizer- currently I am using Aveno Ultra-calming moisturizer and an undereye cream- Vichy Idealia Eyes.

AM: First I cleanse with the The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Facial Wash and exfoliate and tone with the Paula’s Choice Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution and the 5100 Skincare Glacier Moist Refresh spay. Then I apply my Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Serum followed by my Olaz Regenerist moisturizer, including around the eyes. And for sun protection I use the Glo-Therapeutics Oil-Free SPF 40+ sunscreen.

PM: Usually I double cleanse with a milk cleanser first – at the moment the Eucerin Gentle Cleansing Milk – and then a cleansing oil – at the moment the L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil, followed by exfoliating and toning with the same two products that I use in the morning. Then I apply Differen gel for my acne, followed by my Caudalie serum and my Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer, eye area included again.

  1. Natasja says:

Ah, Pixi Beauty! I want to try some stuff by that brand.. been hearing good stuff 🙂 I also don’t use a lot to rinse my face in the morning.. I’m thinking of getting rosewater, actually!

  2. howdoesdeedoit says:

Our routines are very similar Agata! I don’t use a toner but apart from that..yeah,similar! I also use my foreo luna instead of rhe Clairsonic heh.
    interesting to see everyone’s routines!!

  3. Lisa @ Midwest Glam says:

My morning routine is similar to yours! I just splash some cold water on my face in the morning, apply some moisturizer with SPF, add my favorite eye cream and I’m good to go. I used to have really problematic skin and this just works for me.

  4. Pavithra says:

This was so interesting Agata! My morning routine is pretty similar to yours, except that I need to use a moisturizer in addition to my sunscreen as my skin can get a little dry. I’ve never tried a Clarisonic or any other brush, but this has me intrigued 🙂

  5. Jenny says:

Your evening routine sounds a lot like mine! It usually takes me around 15 minutes to go through my routine, as I add serums and oils and do some ‘facial massage’ that Lisa Eldridge has up on her YouTube channel!

  6. Becca says:

I try to keep my routine as simple as possible in the morning – just cleanser, a moisturiser and an SPF. At night, it’s face masks and serums! My favourite brands are Decleor, La Roche, YonKa and at the moment I’m loving all offerings from Image Skincare x

  7. Zovesta says:

Well, your skin looks beautiful, so it’s clearly working! I don’t have much of a skin care routine. PONDS cold face cream and body lotion at the start and end of the day, sunscreen applied throughout… My laziness is matched only by my newness to skin care.
