The shades of fall at your fingertips

Fall in Michigan, where I live, is in its full swing at the moment. The leaves on the tress have changed colors, the weather is cooler and the nature looks more beautiful than ever! I have been enjoying going for leisurely strolls just to take in the beauty of autumn here.

In today’s post I am going to share with you my nail polish picks for this season. I am very much drawn to the richer, darker and bolder colors in the fall as you will see below. Fall nail polishes

I picked 6 of my current favorites, with 4 shades from Zoya and 2 from Essie.

Zoya Pepper

Zoya Pepper

Starting with my all time favorite shade- Zoya Pepper (from Fall 2013 Cashmere Collection). This shade is the embodiment of autumn for me. It’s a beautiful burnt red color that reminds me of pumpkins. The nail polish itself is very creamy and fully opaque in just one coat.

Zoya Yuna

Zoya Yuna

Next up, another shade from Zoya- Yuna (from Fall 2014 Ignite Collection). I like it a lot because of its complexity. It is a dark greish green shade with gold speckles that looks different depending on the light. It’s absolutely stunning.

Zoya Ryan

Zoya Ryan

The third shade is Zoya Ryan (from Fall 2014 Entice Collection), which is a deep dark blue shade. I rediscovered this shade after Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup was talking about her favorite nail polishes for fall and she mentioned Ciate x Olivia Palermo shade in New England Fall. I didn’t necessarily want to buy another nail polish so I just searched my large nail polish collection and found Ryan! The shade is really elegant and can look almost black.

Zoya Aubrey

Zoya Aubrey

The last shade from Zoya is Aubrey (Naturel 2 Collection). It’s a medium mauve shade. A perfect muted fall color. I am actually wearing it on my nails right now with a gold accent nail.

Essie The Perfect Cover Up

Essie The Perfect Cover Up

The fifth shade is The Perfect Cover Up from Essie (Fall 2014 Dress To Kilt Collection). It’s a deep teal with a little bit of grey. This shade has a special place in my heart because I bought it last year from my best friends’ wedding. Peacock green was one of their wedding colors and every time I wear this shade on my nails it brings back fantastic memories!

Essie In the Lobby

Essie In The Lobby

Last but not least, the latest addition to my nail polish collection- In The Lobby from Essie (Fall 2015 Collection). Essie describes it as a “cinnamon plum” and just the description of the shade makes me want to wear it non-stop! It’s beautiful and it’s also a perfect fall shade for your toes! Thanks Karen for making me run to the store to get this shade after you wore it on your nails.

Below you can see some swatches of all the nail polishes.

Hi Carol, so I only have You’re such a Budapest, a lovely shade indeed! I just looked up the other shades and Lady Godiva is so pretty! Thanks for sharing your favorites.

    • Agata says:

They are really good and I have never had any duds from Zoya, they are always excellent quality! I hope you can try them soon! Their nail polish remover is the best too!

Beautiful picks! I really like Zoya, they always have gorgeous colors and consistent quality.
There’s no fall here really, trees still mostly look the same as they did in May, and we’re supposed to have 100-degree weather next week again :/

    • Agata says:

I agree, I love Essie but with their nail polishes sometimes it’s a hit or miss. Zoya is always consistent!

I like living in Michigan because we have all seasons and I always find something beautiful about each of them! 100 degrees? That’s crazy though!

  2. Lisa @ Midwest Glam says:

I wish Fall was in full swing down here, but things are still green and the weather is actually very warm during the day. It does cool down at night, but that doesn’t help me much lol. Are those leaves from outside???

Those are some great picks for Fall. In The Lobby looks perfect!

  3. Agata says:

The leaves are from outside, I just picked them up on my on my walks. Aren’t they beautiful??

In The Lobby is really pretty. Do you still wear some fall shades at this time even though it’s not really fall-y around you?

Pretty pretty 😀 I do love darker colors in Fall. My nails are currently chipped-brown with golden glitters 😛 errr.. the nail polish I mean 😛 I like the blue nail polish you added! It’s not very typical. I appreciate that!
