What Are Your Favorite Time Saving Beauty Products?

time saversA beauty blogger is somebody to whom “a 5 minute makeup routine” doesn’t exist. I am no exception. No matter how hard I try to do a quick makeup look, limit myself to two eyeshadows at the most, no contouring or highlighting, it just never goes that way. 10 minutes later I find myself color correcting and blending 4 different eyeshadows.

Until recently, time spent on doing my makeup wasn’t really an issue (well, besides my boyfriend teasing me on taking 2 hours to get ready) because I worked from home. A few weeks ago though, I started a new job where I actually need to leave the house and be around people. And there are days when I have to be out the door by 7 am. That being said, I DO need to streamline my beauty regimen. And that’s where I need your help.

I honestly don’t have a whole lot of products that are multitaskers so I need some recommendations. In particular, I am looking to find some good eyeshadow sticks that I can quickly smudge over my eyelids, blend out and be done, yet still look put together. I have only tried Mac Prolongwear Waterproof Colour Sticks from Mac Cosmetics so far. What other brands would you recommend? What are your favorite shades? And what products in general do use when you have a limited time to get ready? What are your time saving beauty secrets? Please, share those with me!

I really like the Lancome Kohl Eyeliners and their liquid-liners. The liqui-liners will set but if you are quick, you can smudge them for some color. Their Kohl liner in brown is a total go to for me. I will line my eyes with that and smoke it out and then just dust some bronzer on as shadow. In a pinch it creates a good look. Also, have you checked out the Charlotte Tilbury beach sticks? Excellent multi-taskers!

I quite like the KIKO eyeshadow stick in 06 Golden Brown, but I have a feeling 05 Rosy Brown would look great on you too. For a quick wash of color that will go with everything, I also really like the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige.

I so know what you mean! I tell myself all the time that I’m going to do a quick face then an hour later I’m contoured, highlighted so much you can see me from space, etc. lol

When I worked early in the morning I would leave a nude palette on my desk and use that every morning for a quick look along with some liner (no wing cause I never got up early enough), mascara, foundation, and lipstick. I was able to pull it off in about 15-20 minutes. Not sure if this is helpful, but it worked for me.

Good luck on the new job! 🙂

I don’t know of any quick, multi-tasking products but I’ve developed my “no makeup” makeup look. It’s brows, mascara, concealer under the eyes, blush, bronzer, & maybe a highlight. The most important part that’s missing is no eyeshadow and, thus, no layering & blending to high heavens. Hope you’re loving your new gig. Let us know what you come up with 🙂

If I am in real hurry then I can do my makeup in 5 minutes, but it would be a minimal makeup where I use only one cream eyeshadow and only blush or bronzer 🙂 You should try Maybelline Color Tattoo, metallic pomegranate(perfect seasonal colour) and on&on bronze. They are long lasting and colour pay off is pretty good!

It’s not a shadow stick, but I quite like the bareMinerals BB Cream eyeshadows for those days when I don’t have much time to get ready. Kiko’s eyeshadow sticks from their permanent collection are usually pretty good. Shiseido cream eyeshadows are also great for quick looks, their texture is amazing.
