What was your last beauty purchase?

With Christmas approaching really fast and makeup brands luring their customers with tons of Limited Edition gift sets and products, it’s really hard to resist the urge not to buy anything for yourself and concentrate strictly on gifts for others…

A few weeks ago I stopped at Sephora to swatch a few products and make my mental list for the VIB Sephora sale but, needless to say, I couldn’t have left empty handed.

imageRecently, with a lot of career and personal changes happening in my life, I have been extremely stressed and tired. And it shows right in my under eye area. That’s why I picked up two of the Sephora Eye Masks. One is a Relaxing & Refreshing mask with Green Tea and the second one is an Ultra Moisurizing & Brightening with Rose.

I also couldn’t resist getting one of the Holiday Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Duos. I picked the shade Fig/Rose Gold.  Fig is a just perfect pink-rose shade and Rose Gold has the most beautiful golden sheen to it. My favorite way to wear them is to apply Fig first and top it off with Rose Gold in the middle of my lips. image

While at Sephora I also got two samples of products I have wanted to try. The first one is Jelly Pack Primer by a Korean brand J.One. This products is amazing and nothing like I have used before. It’s a clear gel, that’s really thick and sticky to touch. It’s meant to be used as a morning mask but it doesn’t require washing off because it’s also a primer that helps your makeup grip to the skin. I am very much impressed with this interesting product.

imageThe second sample that I was looking forward to trying is Dr. Jardt’s Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30. This product has amazing reviews on Sephora’s website and I really wanted to see if it really works. It is basically a green corrector in the form of a moisturizer which also provides protection from UV light and environmental hazards. This cream works like a charm and it does conceal redness. However, I feel like it would be better suited for people for whom redness is a major problem. In my case, the little redness that I have on my cheeks and around the nose can be easily covered with a regular concealer or foundation.

I hope you enjoyed my mini Sephora haul. As far as the VIB sale,  I bought a few products in the store as well as I placed an order online ( I am still waiting to get it though).

Over to you, what was your last beauty purchase and how did you like it? Do you usually get samples of products you consider buying or do you simply get it and then return if you don’t like it? Are you a fan of any of the products I mentioned?

Hope you’re all doing great and thanks for stopping by.

I love that Mauvember lipstick, I am really thinking of getting it too! And I am curious about that Burberry foundation- never tried any.

And we bloggers are no helper, we definitely just encourage each other to buy and spend more, lol.

      P.S.
I am so glad you can finally comment on here 🙂

Yes! I think I actually said out loud ‘oh yea!!!’ when my comment posted! LOL! The Burberry foundation has zero coverage, it’s really weird. No coverage but it makes me skin looks smooth, radiant…the best way I can describe it is it makes my skin looks expensive, like I spent thousands on making it look so healthy.

Hi Athena, thanks so much for stopping by.

How do you like that L’Oreal cushion foundation? I bought it a few months ago but I used it only once, I really didn’t like it. It felt like it had no coverage whatsoever.

The Jelly Pack Primer sounds so interesting and innovative! I had never heard of it before.
My latest beauty purchase was a couple of shadows and a lipstick from ColourPop, since they were offering free international shipping last week. It’s my first ColourPop order and I can’t wait to receive it!

The Sephora eye masks have not been on my radar, but my undereye area has been acting up lately so I should probably try them!
My last purchase was during the VIB sale, so that was quite a bit of stuff! The highlights were a Surratt blush and fragrance by Pinrose.
