In my previous post I mentioned how obsessed I have been with my Maybelline The Nudes palette. The palette is very simple, all the colors are neutral and might seem a bit boring but not to me! I find The Nudes to be extremely versatile and with that just one little palette you can create plenty of looks.
In today’s post I am sharing with you a simple, soft look created with The Nudes and I will show you can to easily transform it into a more smokey nighttime look.
For this look I kept things simple, I applied my primer, foundation, setting powder as usual. To add some color to my cheeks I used a powder blush from Mac from their Sharon Osbourne collection in Peaches and Cream. I highlighted my eyes and under the brow area with a light beige, almost white shimmery shade from The Nudes palette (the very left shade, top row). I popped some golden brown all over the lid (bottom row, 3rd shadow from the left) and added some matte brown shade into my crease for added dimension (bottom row, 2nd from the left). Two coats of waterproof mascara and a nude Urban Decay lipstick in Naked finish off the daytime look.
If your day doesn’t end at 5pm and you’re going out to a nice dinner or to a bar for drinks, you can take the daytime look and easily transform it into a nighttime appropriate look with just two quick steps.
To create a more smokey, defined eyelook I took a very dark brown, almost black shadow from The Nudes palette (top row, the 1st shadow on the right) and applied it as an eyeliner along my lashline, creating a little flick at the end. To make the look stand out even more I took off my nude lipstick and replaced it with a bright fuchsia pink color. The one I used is Kelly Yum Yum from Mac’s Kelly Osbourne collection. And here is a complete look!
I hope you enjoyed these quick tips. Do you have any recommendations on how to transform a daytime look into a nighttime one without having to completely redo your entire makeup?
