A Bow to Bows

Bows (2 of 3)Remember my polka dot obsession? Polka dot dresses, cardigans, shoes and nails? Well, now there is a new pattern that I have been loving. Bows. What’s there not to love about them? They are cute, feminine yet classy. Like bows on Kate Spade’s handbags and shoes.

Bows (1 of 3)Recently I bought a new Nail Art Decal Kit from Sally Hansen that you can see on the left. It has three sheets of different nail decals, letters, gold chains and…a whole variety of different shapes and sizes of cute bows. I decided to try them right away to create this manicure.

I started by applying hot pink polish in Hey Baby from OPI Gwen Stefani’s collection. This one might be one of my favorite polishes of all times. It’s just perfect shade of pink, it applies really smoothly and it’s extremely glossy. Next, I embellished each nail with a bow decal by placing it in the inner top of each nail. To make it a little more interesting I put two different shaped bows on my ring nail to make it an accent finger. Finally, I sealed the whole design with a coat of Sephora X Formula Top Coat.

Bows (3 of 3)The decals are really easy to use, they stick really well even to a dry nail and they do not peel off. I am really happy with them, it’s an easy way to create a little fancier nail art if you don’t have particularly great skills to paint designs yourself.

What do you think of this bow manicure? Would you wear it yourself? Have you used any nail decals in the past? What are your favorite ones?

Aww this is ADORABLE! So girly! I don’t think I’ve used any nail decals to be honest. I might have some somewhere, but I’ve never really tried. I’m just too lazy. It’s a lot of effort just to paint the nails :p

Thank you Sunny. I really like it too! It took a little bit more time than my regular manicure but I think it was worth it. I just saw some really cute Halloween decals from Sally Hansen too.
